We’ve had many, wonderful clients on
our expeditions.

"I had a great time on the Arctic Experience. The knowledge I gained has set me up to plan my own solo expedition in 2017. We all had a good laugh and took away renewed confidence in ourselves - which no doubt was due to Mike investing time in each of us. Most importantly I take away the understanding that you CAN travel in a cold environment safely, relatively warmly, and without having to invest in the most expensive 'Gucci’ equipment. Cheers Mike!”

"I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Mike. The trip has just the perfect blend of challenge, education and enjoyment, and as such was the perfect trip for me to pick. It really was a life affirming experience, and has given me the tools and confidence to delve further into the world of cold weather expeditions. Mike went above and beyond from initial contact through to sending me information after the trip had finished. Mike is a gent and you are in good hands with him. Thanks for everything Mike. "

“This was an opportunity for self discovery of my limits and strengths. Operating outside my comfort zone has helped develop my personality and contributed to who I am. It has also brought me good friends. This was a personal trip and a great shared experience.”

“What a fantastic chance to learn from a highly experienced guide about survival
and travel in an extreme environment. It was a rare opportunity for true escapism
from everything familiar and see one of the most isolate and also beautiful places
on the planet.”

“Mike ran the expedition
as a complete professional, his entire focus is in making the journey as safe and
as enjoyable as possible. On top of his immense experience in living and not suffering
in these environments is a fun guy who loves being in a team and taking part in
friendly banter .... all the time. I have no concerns about recommending Mike as
a guide for any cold weather expedition large or small.”

"The expedition is something I'll never forget - be it laughs in the tent or the tranquility of the environment. I also had to push myself both mentally and physically, and I had to give up a lot of things to achieve it.
But I'd do it all again to stand at the South Pole. Thanks once again for a life changing experience."

“Polar Challenge took 5 very inexperienced people to
the North Pole and we stood on "Top of the World". The trip was so well organised
it managed to even exceed my expectations, and it was the most exciting 10 days
of my life. The only adventure that might come close is going to the South Pole
with Mike - which is my next goal.”

“When Mike and Fiona told me they believed I could ski to the South Pole, having never skied before, I knew I was going into this challenge with two people who really think without limits and strongly believe in the people that they choose. Their belief in me ensured I successfully made it to the Pole in a trip I can only be described as an incredible, mind altering, life changing, and fulfilling experience. I came away with a new belief in my abilities, because Antarctica teaches you that with passion and dedication, you genuinely can achieve anything you set your mind too.”

"Thank you so much for arranging a fantastic value for money trip. When I sit back and think about what we saw and did, I find it quite mind blowing and not sure I have taken it all in. Things will keep coming back to me over the next few weeks I am sure."

"On reaching the North Pole I felt I had achieved
what so few people in the world have. The journey was not only a physical but
also a mental test - which certainly allowed me to identify traits in me that I
never thought I possessed. Seeing the sun never going down, experiencing the
vastness and splendour, words fail me to be able to fully describe the beauty
and splendour of the Arctic. It’s an experience I will share with my kids and
others for years. Many thanks Mike and the team for allowing me to share with
you this awesome place."

I was apprehensive about making this journey, but
having spent several years raising children, I felt it was time to do something
major for me, but at the same time something to set an example to my children -
particularly I wanted them not to be scared to face challenges. The experience
on the ice was absolutely incredible and totally rewarding. I feel so
privileged to have taken part. For once, I feel back in touch with the ‘real
me’ - and the reward in doing school talks and seeing the excitement in
children’s eyes only adds to the purpose of it all. The trip itself now seems
like a dream but a very good one... I am so pleased to have done it - and I
can't imagine a better leader. THANK YOU!

“Joining this expedition was a big step for me.
Before I went, I was more than a little anxious as to whether I was capable of
doing it and if I’d end up the weak link. But not once, did I lack confidence
or trust in Mike and Fiona’s planning and decision-making. You were brilliant!
The journey itself was wholly amazing and unlike anything I have ever done. The
beauty at times was surreal and often I find it hard to believe I did it. I
learned much about myself - and in particular how not to worry about problems
that haven’t happened!”

This is an experience Clare and I will never forget.
As well as sealing our relationship, the scenery was beautiful and the
challenge rewarding. Certainly an unforgettable memory I will take to the
grave. It also makes you realise how insignificant some things are in your
daily life. A worthwhile journey I would consider accomplishing again.

“Walking to the South Pole was amazing. Aside from
the beauty of the journey itself, I learned a lot about myself in a positive
way. In fact, I would go as far to say it changed my life. It gave me the
confidence to change career and along the way I made new and special
friendships. One thing I continue to enjoy - is sharing my experiences and
inspiring others.”

“This expedition was the most exciting thing I ever
did in my life. The experience was absolutely tremendous, even life-changing.
Mike’s leadership and organisation was second to none, without which, how else
could six novices laugh our way through ten days at minus 40? I say; Bring on
minus 50!”

“I did feel extremely privileged. Mike and
Fiona passed on life-saving tips that will have taken them a lifetime to
acquire. I am very thankful for the experience. The team all got on so well and
if the chance came my way again I'd definitely not pass it up. I'd definitely
do it again.”
